Julie English, R.Ph., PharmD
Julie is the Supervising Pharmacist at the Medicine Shoppe and our primary compounding pharmacist. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy and completed her doctorate program there. She has completed specialty training in nutrition, home care oncology, and pediatrics. Julie has also served clinical rotations at F.F. Thompson Hospital, The University of Rochester Hospital, and at various locations in the Albany area.
Julie grew up in the area and has been a pharmacist at this store for over 10 years. She has received additional training in the compounding of medications from the Professional Compounding Centers of America. Julie’s experience has provided her with over 6,000 hours of compounding lab time over the years and she is relied upon by many professional practices for her knowledge in compounding.
She enjoys working at the Medicine Shoppe because of the many opportunities for direct patient care and the unique opportunity to be involved in compounding medications to meet both human and animal needs. Julie is a preceptor for pharmacy students from Albany College of Pharmacy, University of Buffalo, St. John Fisher, and Lecom University for Community Practice and Compounding rotations.
Gail Herman, Director of Sales and Marketing
Gail is the Director of Sales and Marketing of The Canandaigua Medicinne Shoppe. She accepted this role in April 2012. Prior employment includes 10 years at the Pharmacy Shoppe as Office Manager. Previous to pharmacy, Gail managed a senior living community and was Customer Service Manager at a local winery for 20 plus years. Gail brings 30 plus years of Customer Service, Human Resources, and Business to The Canandaigua Medicine Shoppe. Gail is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and Morrisville ATC. She has taken over 600 hours of continuing education in the field of business and human resources.
Gail is very involved in the local community and volunteers for a number of organizations such as Kiwanis Club of Canandaigua (Past President), and Greater Canandaigua Family YMCA (Past Board Chair and currently Board Development Chair), Professional Women of the Finger Lakes, Bristol Valley Theatre, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and a Sunday school teacher at her church. Gail is also a recipient of the ATHENA award.
Gail currently resides in the town of Gorham with her husband Rick.
Megan Buckley, Technician, Compounding Technician
Megan Buckley is a Pharmacy Technician for both the retail and compounding pharmacies located within The Canandaigua Medicine Shoppe. Megan brings 7 years of technician experience to the pharmacy. Megan has an AAS in Business and a certificate in Paralegal Studies.
Megan is a Canandaigua native and currently resides in Farmington with her husband JW. She has a passion for gymnastics and coaches a competitive team at Eagle Gymnastics.
Tracey is employed at the Medicine Shoppe in the role of Compounding Technician. Tracey brings 20 plus years of pharmacy experience to the store. She has experience in both chain and independent pharmacy. Tracey enjoys all aspects of the technician position from inputting prescriptions, dealing with insurance issues and interacting with all customers and their needs. She also has certification through the Professional Compounding Centers of America.
Tracey was born and raised in Bloomfield. She is married to Bob and they have three children.
In her spare time, Tracey loves to spend time with her family and friends camping, and 4 wheeling.
